If you’re an Internet Marketer, and if you have a website that you want people to see, you are essentially an Internet Marketer, then you need a lot of content. Why do you need content?
Your Blog – You need content for your blog. You should update your blog at least weekly, if not more often. Blog posts are very informal, should not be more than 300 to 400 words long, and laser targeted on one point.
Website Copy – You will need copy to make your website speak to your visitors. Every page should have some sort of call to action otherwise no one will know what to do when they visit your site. Website copy should be easily scanned with plenty of white space and should think benefits over features.
Website Articles – It is useful to have a nice article directory that is targeted toward what your visitors will be interested in reading. For instance if you have a site about Hats, you should have a lot of articles about Hats. For instance: “Hats worn in movies” “Hats worn by bikers” “Hats to die for” and so forth.
Article Marketing - You should have articles out at least weekly that are NOT on your website distributed to various article marketing sites and e-zines. These should be very general in nature, should not sell anything, but your authors bio should be yours and should link back to your website.
In addition if you are a bricks and mortar business you will have a need for copy for offline marketing efforts such as brochures, business cards, fliers, advertisements, and press releases.
You might have to hire more than one content producer to obtain all these different types of copy one that is proficient in offline marketing and one that is proficient in online marketing.
